- Abstract
The article examines the self-portrait of Abba Kovner's life through his poetry, including the poem "Tamid ani ḥoshev she'od," or "Always I think That Yet," and the books of poetry entitled "Shirat Rosa," or "Rosa's Song," and "Tatspiot," or "Observations." Topics include Kovner's use of the lyrical "I," the use of biographical literary form in Kovner's poetry, as well as his representation of human heroism in the absence of God.
