- Abstract
The article discusses fairness in relation to the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) as of September 2013, focusing on indictments and the legal and political aspects of international trials at the ICTY. According to the article, in 2012 the ICTY's Appeals Chamber overturned the convictions which were levied against the suspected Croatian war criminals Ante Gotovina and Mladen Markač. Genocide trials, various modes of liability, and criminal sentences are examined.
