- Abstract
In this article the author, an economist, proposes a more flexible and efficient water allocation system for the Okanagan Valley, a region in the Canadian province of British Columbia. The author notes the importance of coherent water policy in the area in light of an increase in the population of the region, increasing aridity and climate change. A number of topics are addressed including the environmental health in the region, the control of water, and the importance of agriculture in the Okanagan Valley.
