- Abstract
A new relativistic approach, based on the gauge-invariant perturbation theory (PT), is applied to calculate the interatomic potentials and hyperfine structure line collision shifts for the alkali and lanthanide atoms in an atmosphere of the inert gases. Data on the interatomic potentials and collision shifts for Rb, Cs, and Yb atoms in an atmosphere of the inert gas He are presented. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Int J Quantum Chem, 2009
