The article describes the integration of remote sensing data with diverse ground-based data collected during an expedition across an unexplored rainforest in Costa Rica. Researchers collected environmental data including vegetation parameters, soil carbon and nitrogen, and acoustic data. The project resulted in several products of direct relevance to land managers.
