- Title
A Perspective on Clinical and Translational Research in Pediatric Dermatology.
- Authors
Bruckner, Anna L
- Abstract
The author reflects on the role that clinical and translational research must play for pediatric dermatology to advance. She argues that only a minority of pediatric dermatologists participate in research even if the objective of the Society for Pediatric Dermatology (SPD) is to promote and advance research in skin disease in all pediatric age groups. Comments on how mentorship, research training, and collaboration may help improve clinical research in pediatric dermatology are also presented.
