- Authors
Allen, Chadwick
- Abstract
This essay focuses on radio drama shows as a part of Western American literature, with a particular interest in the show "The Lone Ranger." The article explains that radio shows are important, even though Western films, print materials, and live shows are more widely researched, because radio dramas require audience participation, develop narratives with dialogue, and often were accompanied by fan clubs for children. The techniques of developing drama through sound are also explored.
