- Abstract
The 32nd annual conference of EBLIDA took place from April 8th to 10th, 2024 in Lisbon. The conference addressed topics such as the use of artificial intelligence in libraries and the fight against misinformation. It was emphasized that libraries play an important role in society and should meet the needs of citizens. The profession of librarian is undergoing changes and different countries have different approaches to library education. The conference also discussed the project "Resourcing Libraries: connecting libraries to EU resources", which helps public libraries in Europe to utilize EU resources for educational programs. Solutions to challenges in recruitment and retention of personnel were proposed, such as increasing diversity among staff and adapting education. Overall, the congress was an inspiring event that contributed to the exchange and development of the library sector.
