Abstract
The article presents an interview with Robert Gibson, a music conductor who served in many roles at the McGill University. He talks about his childhood and his father who played trumpet in the Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra. He shares his experience of learning trumpet from his father and playing in bands through high school. He also talks about his music education at the University of Minnesota, and influence of his father and musicians Max Schlossberg and Harry Glanz on his own music.
