- Abstract
The article examines the state labs of federalism to identify at what point the U.S. Supreme Court may rule constitute a search in violation of the Fourth Amendment. Topics discussed include clarification on unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and their technical capabilities, why the use of the term "drone" will become problematic as UAS become more autonomous, and basic Fourth Amendment principles that apply when a court is faced with a challenge to a government search.
