- Abstract
This research aims to determine the attitudes and opinions of the fourth-year students of the Faculty of Health Sciences Department of Social Work towards the creative drama course, the creative drama method and its effect on professional perspectives. The sequential explanatory design from Creswell's mixed model was used as the research method. The study group consisted of 56 fourth-year students from a public university's department of social work. The "Attitude Towards Creative Drama Course Scale" developed by Adıgüzel (2006a) as a data collection tool was applied to determine participants' attitudes towards the creative drama course. In addition, after each session and at the end of the semester, google forms and students were consulted about the creative drama course. The application lasted 30 hours for 15 weeks, 2 hours per week. The data were collected qualitatively and quantitatively; qualitative data were analyzed through content analysis, and quantitative data were analyzed using a t-test. In light of the data obtained, the study revealed that the creative drama course had an effect on the students of the social services department and that there was an increase in their attitudes. In the distance education process, students stated that the course was effective when the cameras were on and active participation was ensured.
