- Abstract
The article discusses a study which investigated social factors which influence the attraction to physical activity and perceptions of physical competence among children who are visually impaired. The influence that parents and peers have are examined. The researchers reported two themes that emerged which include the fun of physical exertion and vigorous physical activity for the participants, and their enjoyment of games and sports. Obstacles to physical activity participation are also identified.
