- Abstract
The article analyses the performance of nanoparticle additives on thin film elastohydrodynamic lubrication (EHL). Topics discussed include use of silver nanoparticles containing nanolubricant in the experiment, use of surface analysis and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations to investigate interaction of components such as particles, surfaces and the lubricant, and ability of nanoparticles to reduce coefficient of friction (COF) in the thin-film EHL regime.
