- Abstract
The article presents a critical analysis of the epic poem "Omeros," by the 20th-century Caribbean author Derek Walcott, discussing its use of what the author terms an "ethical twist." Introductory details are given defining the ethics of Walcott's works, particularly the balance between the ideas of otherness and power. Analysis is then provided discussing this theme within the character and relationships of Helen.
