The author examines the decision of the British Office of Communications (OFCOM) in a case involving Iranian broadcaster Press TV Ltd. on December 1, 2011. The author explores the principles of impartiality and fairness which are said to be both important for the traditional broadcasting regulation in Great Britain. The author also discusses the imposition of fines on Press TV Ltd. and the response of the Iranian broadcaster to the said ruling.
