- Abstract
The American College of Radiology (ACR) recommends MRI-guided biopsy for selected breast cancer (BCa) lesions visualized only by MRI. This comment refers to the article available at https://doi.org/10.1007/s00330-023-09763-1 Magnetic resonance imaging-guided (MRI-guided) interventional procedures include a range of procedures such as biopsy, needle placement, focused or directional targeting and monitoring for thermal ablation, and guidance of guidewires and catheters intra- and extra-vascularly. In the current study, Corradini et al [[7]] review their experience with 1.5 T MRI for thoracoabdominal lesion biopsy using a circular coil and a coaxial biopsy system.
