- Abstract
Features are considered for the formation, composition, structure and properties of electric-spark coatings on tool die steel Kh12MF using hard alloy electrode materials based on titanium carbide and boride, and nanodispersed tungsten carbide. Mass transfer kinetics are studied with variation of pulsed discharge parameters. The structure, composition and properties are studied for the electric-spark coatings obtained (continuity, thickness, microhardness, friction coefficient, wear and heat resistance). Successful application in industry of the technology developed is demonstrated.
