- Abstract
The article presents a guideline on how to secure the services of a science elementary consultants to aid the instructional program for elementary schools in the U.S. The first step is always a critical self-analysis and introspective action. It is realizing that the school needs some help. Do some planning and thinking with colleagues with the same situation. Present the problem at a monthly teacher's meeting. The action committee should begin to work immediately. It is suggested that the action committee begin with local secondary teachers because of their familiarity with the local elementary teachers and the local situation. Visit the prospective consultant in person. Set up the time schedule for phone calls and school visitations.
