- Abstract
The article reports on the evaluation of tuberculosis programs in the U.S. from 2002 to 2008 using the National Tuberculosis Indicators Project (NTIP), a web-based monitoring system that gathers data on individual tuberculosis (TB) patients. It found indicators concerning TB case management, such as treatment completion, genotyping HIV status and drug susceptibility. It is also noted that infectious patients be determined and evaluated for full treatment.
