- Abstract
The article reports on a project conducted by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to monitor severe adverse events (SAEs) associated with latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) which was started in January 2004. It was found out that 17 patients meeting SAE definition received isoniazid (INH) therapy and experienced liver injury. Details on the onsite clinical investigations and actual statistics are also discussed.
