- Abstract
The article focuses on the economic and political conditions in Saudi Arabia. In 1994, the country accounted a budget deficit of over $10 billion resulting to the introduction of higher prices to a variety of necessities. In the same year, the state's administration faced various political dissidence by the opposition leader, Muhammad al-Masari. Here, it discusses the realities of the country's economic problems as well as its political future. According to the author, the intelligent assessment regarding the stability of the country must be based on facts about its historical and cultural context.
