- Abstract
Multimedia resources represent a valuable pedagogical tool to enrich teaching practice in the classroom, as long as they are used appropriately. The main objective of this study is to carry out qualitative bibliographical research on the use of multimedia resources in education, with the purpose of understanding their impact on the learning process and their potential to improve educational approaches. In this sense, the specific objectives encompass the analysis of the current scenario of the integration of multimedia resources in education, the exploration of ongoing trends, as well as the identification of challenges and opportunities in this sphere. Furthermore, we seek to evaluate how the use of these resources influences student engagement, knowledge retention and the development of cognitive, social and emotional skills. Finally, this study aims to recommend specific strategies and guidelines so that educational institutions can effectively and sustainably incorporate various multimedia resources into their curricula, thus promoting engaging and personalized learning. At the end of the article, it is expected to obtain valuable information that can inform teaching practice and benefit educators, researchers and professionals interested in emerging technologies in education.
