- Abstract
The present work aims to present a systematic review of the literature on the experiences of teaching-service integration in dentistry courses in Brazil from the implementation of the National Curriculum Guidelines. The included articles were searched in the BBO, Lilacs and SciELO databases, using only publications in Portuguese, and between the years 2002 to 2018. The chosen keywords were analyzed by the Health Sciences Descriptors. Based on the inclusion criteria, 10 scientific articles were selected. Regarding the year of publication, no articles were published in the years 2002 to 2010, 2012 and 2014. Only 10% were published in 2011, 30% in 2015, 10% in 2016, 30% in 2017 and 20% in 2018. As for geographic location, most articles were produced in the Northeast and Southeast regions (both with 40%). Scientific production on the subject is scarce so far; all studies confirm the importance of teaching-service articulation for changing the profile of dentistry graduates, the main contributions are in bringing the student closer to the health reality of the Brazilian population and in the development of Permanent Education in Health together with professionals from the health service health.
