- Abstract
Introduction: The puerperium is characterized by the last phase of the pregnancy-puerperium cycle, it begins in the first hour of life of the newborn together with the expulsion of the placenta until the body returns to pre-pregnancy conditions, subject to involution, with an average duration of 6 to 8 weeks, called the mediate puerperium. Objective: To describe the scientific evidence on favorable aspects for humanized postpartum care in primary health care. Methods: An integrative review with a qualitative approach, carried out in 2023 using the following databases: Public MEDLINE, Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS), Nursing Database (BDENF) (through the Virtual Library in Health - BVS), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), Spanish Bibliographic Index in Health Sciences (IBECS), with a time frame from 2017 to 2022, using the descriptors, "Primary health care"; "Postpartum period" ; "Humanization" and "Assistance". and the MesHs were: "Primary health care", "Postpartum period" and "Humanization" "Assistance". Results and Discussion: Ten productions were selected, in which it was demonstrated that, for a humanized assistance, it is necessary for primary health care professionals to address ; breastfeeding, sexual life, bonding with the user, paternal participation, encouragement in a support group, professional training, among others. Conclusion: It is clear that the favorable aspects were pointed out during the study as essential for a humanized assistance to puerperal women in the postpartum period in Primary Health Care (PHC).
