- Authors
Sánchez Montes, María José
- Abstract
The article presents the translation of the book "The Method: How the Twentieth Century Learned to Act" by Isaac Butler, which explores the origin and development of the Stanislavski method in theatrical acting. The author seeks to answer questions about the method and its impact in the United States, highlighting the relationship between Stanislavski and Lee Strasberg. Although it does not offer a systematic explanation of the method, it exposes misunderstandings and deviations from its origins. The book is recommended for understanding the history of 20th-century theater and the methodology of acting work.
