- Abstract
This study examines the factors that influence the selection of commands Japanese phrase in a text conversation Yan-san to Nihon no Hitobito (1994), Minna no Nihon-go (1999), and Erin (2009). This research applies speech act theory of speech acts in practice the use of language and the theory of politeness. Meanwhile, this analysis uses qualitative data analysis. The data obtained are presented in descriptive form. Based on the results of data analysis found that there are several factors that affect the use of the expression of speakers in the Japanese language commands (UPBJ). Assessment of the factors that affect the selection of UPBJ refers to what is proposed and Nobuko Mizutani (1987), Hirabayashi and Hama (1988: 15-25), and Makino and Tsutsui (1986). Factors that affect the selection UPBJ, namely: (1) the relationship of familiarity with the hearer, (2) age, (3) social relationships, (4) social status, (5) gender, (6) membership in the group, and (6) the situation said. On the factor of membership in the group, there is only one data showing that the speaker uses UPBJ based on these factors. Membership in the group is not pointing between companies, but between families.
