- Abstract
The article offers information for tree climbing habitat hard-shell terrapins and soft shell terrapin which are freshwater species from Sri Lanka. It discusses the Parkers, the hard-shell terrapin and Black pond terrapin and soft-shell skin-claded terrapin. These are semi-aquatic species inhabiting all 3 altitudinal plains and wet, intermediate and dry climatic zone. It discusses their basking to regulate body temperature and resting on the smaller branches of the tree above water.
