- Abstract
The article discusses the creation of the saveMLAK project, a collaboration between Japan's libraries, museums, archives, and community centres known as kōminkan (MLAK), particularly commenting on its association with the Great East Japan Earthquake of March 11, 2011. It addresses the role of saveMLAK in assisting in coping with natural disasters, as well as notes its work to alert the public to damaged cultural institutions and co-coordinating for relief efforts.
