- Abstract
This article discusses the clinical utility of p16/Ki67 dual-stain cytology for detecting cervical intraepithelial neoplasia grade two or worse in women with a transformation zone type 3. While the authors emphasize the importance of this diagnostic tool, they also mention other parameters and biomarkers that have been identified for diagnosing cervical cancer and its precursors. These include plasma exosomal miRNAs, serum HE4 levels, tumour volume, serum SCC Ag, and mucin staining. The authors suggest that further research is needed to determine the most effective diagnostic techniques for different patient populations affected by cervical cancer and its precursors.
