- Abstract
Comparative analysis was carried out for some biochemical characteristics of the liver of Black Scorpionfish Scorpaena porcus Linnaeus, 1758, from Sevastopol water areas (the Black Sea) with different levels of integrated pollution. The concentration of the oxidized proteins , lipid peroxidation , and the activity of aminotransferases and alkaline phosphatase in the liver of black scorpionfish from heavier polluted water areas (Streletskaya and Aleksandrovskaya) were found to be reliably higher than those for fish from Kazach'ya Bay. The causes of this difference were considered and the information content of the examined biomarkers for assessing the quality of marine coastal water areas was analyzed.
