- Abstract
Void is a common hidden danger of asphalt concrete core wall, which seriously affects the anti-seepage effect of asphalt concrete core wall. In order to explore the characteristics and rules of GPR images of void defects in asphalt concrete core wall, using finite-difference time-domain method and GprMax3. 0 software, forward simulation of asphalt concrete core wall voids defect models with different shapes, sizes and buried depth was carried out, and the forward simulation results were analyzed. The simulation results show that the circular void defect is an open downward parabolic reflected wave; the rectangular void defect is an open downward parabolic reflected wave at the opening end and a linear reflected wave in the middle segment; the reflected wave image characteristics of elliptical void defects are between the two. The simulation results are helpful to the identification of voids in the actual asphalt concrete core wall and the interpretation of GPR images.
