- Abstract
The article discusses the life and career of Harvard Business School professor, Malcolm P. McNair. The article describes McNair's start as an editor of marketing reports for Harvard's Business School graduate students. McNair eventually went on to join the faculty. He is credited for designing the marketing and retailing courses in such a way as to help students develop useful concepts. Among his many contributions to the school, the article notes his successful methods of instruction and his instrumental work in gathering and promoting case studies in the business arena. Additional discussion of his scholarly contributions, membership on corporate boards, and promotion of corporate growth and investment in economically disadvantaged areas is noted.
