- Abstract
The experiment was to screen the varieties of forage sweet sorghum suitable for cultivation in Alar. Five kinds of forage sweet sorghum were used as experimental materials in experiment, analyzed their agronomic traits, nutritional value, energy value estimation and other indicators, the membership function method was used for comprehensive evaluation. The results showed that the plant height, stem diameter, stem node number and fresh grass yield of Grand Prix were significantly higher than those of other sweet sorghum varieties (P<0.05). The leaf number and length of Liou were significantly lower than those of other varieties (P<0.05), and the leaf width was significantly lower than that of Daphne, Chieftain and Cauli (P<0.05); The sugar brix of Cauli and Liou varieties was significantly higher than that of Grand Prix, Dakar and Chieftain (P<0.05). The crude ash and crude protein content of Cauli were significantly higher than those of other varieties (P<0.05). The content of neutral detergent fiber of Daka and acid detergent fiber of Liou were significantly higher than that of other varieties (P<0.05). The crude fat content of Chieftain was significantly higher than that of Daka and Liou (P<0.05). The relative feeding value of coarse fodder of Grand Prix, Chieftain and Cauli was significantly higher than that of other varieties (P<0.05), and the relative quality of coarse fodder of Grand Prix and Cauli was significantly higher than that of Daka and Liou (P<0.05). The total energy of Chieftain and Liou were significantly higher than other varieties (P<0.05). The digestive energy and metabolic energy of Daka were significantly lower than those of other varieties (P<0.05). The ranking of comprehensive evaluation values of different varieties was Grand Prix>Cauli>Chieftain> Liou>Daka. The study indicates that the various indicators of Grand Prix, Cauli and Liou are outstanding, and the comprehensive score is high, so it is recommended to plant in Alar.
