- Abstract
In order to locate the distribution network arc fault with the electromagnetic radiation signals, a Chan-LM joint location algorithm based on time difference of arrival (TDOA) method was proposed. The influence of TDOA location algorithm and electromagnetic radiation sensor configuration on location accuracy was analyzed by simulation. The results show that the positioning error of ChanLM joint algorithm is reduced by 40% compared with that of Chan algorithm. It can achieve a high accuracy of location results for the entire detection area when the main station is located in the central position of Y-shaped distribution with these sensors at the same altitude. In light of the measured arc electromagnetic radiation waveform, it is verified that the Chan-LM joint algorithm can effectively improve the positioning accuracy. A reference is provided for the application of the arc fault location strategy based on electromagnetic radiation TDOA.
