A growing disconnect.
Abstract
The article presents the PricewaterhouseCoopers LLC's (PwC) report showing the division between shareholders and companies in the mining industry in the U.S. in 2011. The report indicates the decrease of market capitalization by 25 percent to approximately $1.2 trillion. It attributes the division within the industry to the European debt crisis, high stock volatility, and slowdown of global growth.
