- Abstract
On the fifty anniversary of students’ protests in the world and in Yugoslavia, some events remember us on the importance of students requests and goals, as well as on the experiences in economic development after that. The goal of this paper is to present economic context and ideas related to students protests in the world and in Yugoslavia in 1968, with analysis of their influence on further development and changes in economic theory and practice. In this paper, some questions are posted which represent the research framework and are further investigated through the main structure of the paper. These are: analysis of the goals of students’ demonstrations in 1968 in Yugoslavia, the influence of their requests and activities on the further tendencies and economic development of Yugoslavia, as well as the influence of that events on the development of economic thought and practice in the world and in Yugoslavia.
