- Abstract
The article discusses the findings of a study on variable air volume (VAV) terminals in buildings by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) in Northern California. The study investigated how various settings of VAV terminals impact occupant satisfaction and energy consumption. It found that low airflow rates were linked with lack of complaints regarding air motion. It demonstrated the importance of the ventilation load in the interior zone.
