- Abstract
The article discusses the use of the BACnet computer network building automation protocol technology, developed by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating & Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), by the Lakewood Church megachurch in Houston, Texas. The author outlines the renovation of the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system (HVAC) for the church to better accommodate its 16,000 person weekend attendance. The author also discusses the need for dealing with a multi-use facility with fluctuating levels of occupancy.
