- Abstract
The article "No Chance for Sulfur" reports on the use of sulfur-resistant resistors to increase the reliability and failure safety of devices and machines in sulfur-containing environments. Sulfur compounds or sulfur gases occur in various industries such as the chemical industry, refineries, oil and gas industry, environmental monitoring, mining, agriculture, and the transportation sector. Conventional resistors can be damaged by the sulfur-containing environment, which can lead to impairments or even complete failure. Würth Elektronik offers a new product series of sulfur-resistant resistors that use a protective layer made of a nickel-chromium alloy to protect the resistors in sulfur-containing environments. The product range includes over 500 component types with various resistance values and designs.
