- Title
The Need for Social Policies that Support the Revitalizing Effects of Immigration Rather than Law Enforcement Initiatives that Assume Disproportionate Immigrant Criminality.
- Authors
Lee, Matthew T.
- Abstract
An essay is presented in which the author calls for replacing the law enforcement approach with social policies that will support and expand the revitalizing effects of immigration. He explains how social policies may help in shaping the relationship between immigration and crime and cites a study that integrated minority incorporation and political process theories. He concludes by urging policy markers to be advocates for positive social policies that extend the benefits of immigration.
