- Abstract
This article presents a case report related to sensitization to ephedrine in oral anticatarrhal drugs. A 60-year-old retired man, on psychiatric treatment consulted us about allergy to iodine. He had chronic bronchitis and had presented repeatedly with an itchy dermatosis 7 years ago. The outbreaks began after 2-3 oral administrations of anticatarrhal drugs. It had been a mild dermatosis, involving the trunk and upper limbs. He remembered no special features other than the itching and that it had cleared 5-7 days after stopping the medication.
