- Abstract
The challenges of today's world have made organizations link professionals with the highest qualifications for their protection of assets, physical and operations, either as direct employees or as consultants and, although, it is a practice that is advancing to achieve recognition generalized, professional certifications, in the different disciplines of integral security, have been increasing, although most are limited to a specific international standard, or granted by entities of little prestige, even if they have an international character that, at times, makes us lose the globalized, holistic and systemic context that comprehensive security demands. At present, companies from both the productive sector and the service provider sector have recognized a seal of guarantee for these professionals in the certifications, due to the recognition that global organizations make of these professionals, which automatically place them in the status of experts of said discipline, since expert is the level of recognition by a specific professional community, rather than by the actor himself. Given this broad panorama, this article aims to establish the contribution that international certifications have in the direction and management of comprehensive security, through the experience of certified professionals who provide their services as leaders within organizations or as consultants. external, in order to take stock of the reality and the future challenges of comprehensive security management.
