The article focuses on portrayal of female protagonists in lesbian vampire films to illustrate the concept of patriarchy and sexism used in the films. Topics discussed include portrayal of lesbian vampires as women's saviors to help them fight the misogynist men in films like "The Blood Spattered Bride" and "Daughters of Darkness," monstrous femininity being held responsible for violence toward women in films, and the revenge drama film "Vampyres" mentioning the concept of homophobia.
