- Abstract
The article offers applications of the American Public Health Association's (APHA) Statement on Addressing Law Enforcement Violence as a Public Health Issue, which was adopted in 2018. Law enforcement violence is linked to adverse health outcomes, including physical health (e.g., injury), mental health (e.g., posttraumatic stress disorder), and death and impacts black, Latinx and Native American communities disproportionately. Action steps are also offered.
