- Abstract
The article discusses a study which examines the importance of knowledge of Six Sigma principles for incoming employees in the printing industry in Indiana. The study employs passive descriptive survey and sampling of about 102 members of the Printing Industry of Illinois/Indiana Association (PII) to gather demographic data including the number of employees working in the printing companies and annual operating budget for their businesses. It is found out that focus on customer, boundless collaborations and continuous improvement should be the primary Six Sigma concepts to be emphasized during an undergraduate experience.
