U.K. GOVERNMENT BACKS UN MOTION TO SEND TROOPS TO LIBYA.
- Abstract
The article offers views of several British politicians on their government's support for the United Nations Security Council's UNSC Resolution 1973 to send troops to Libya. British Prime Minister David Cameron said that the resolution would be enforced if Libyan President Muammar Gaddafi fails to end attacks. Plaid Cymru's Elfyn Llwyd noted the importance of the UNSC resolution. Defence Select Committee Chairman James Arbuthnot commended the government for their role in security the resolution.
