- Abstract
The article presents information on the student support programs for law students in the first year of law school. It states that many law students go through psychological distress and mental depression due to the culture of law schools. It further states that a variety of student support strategies have been designed by James Cook University in Cairns, Queensland where the design focuses on academic and personal development. Information on the development of pastoral care by law teachers through the philosophy of teaching and also the student wellbeing in the law school is presented.
