The article focuses on protection of expectation interest of an injured seller's bargain in real estate contracts with reference to court cases in U.S. Topics discussed include Massachusetts Appellate Court case American Mechanical v. Union Machine Co., damages for breach of a real estate contract and time of breach rule applied in real estate contracts. Other topics include the Uniform Land Transactions Act and the New York Court of Appeals case White v. Farrell that addressed damage claims.
