- Abstract
The paper approaches the complex issues of the application of ‟smart„ laminate composite materials in the design and repair methodology of aeronautical structures, such as aluminum alloy panels that form part of larger aircraft structural components. MEMS applications and their recent embedding in composite structures have introduced new development directions for the use of composite materials in the aeronautical industry and not only there.
