- Abstract
The article discusses the warrantless Global-Positioning-System (GPS) and cell phone tracking methods used by police at the time of criminal investigation. It discusses the U.S Supreme Court's ruling in case United States v. Jones, related to the violation of the Fourth Amendment due to the use of a GPS device by police to monitor suspect's vehicle movement. It also discusses a survey to examine the constitutionality of cell phone tracking and the Supreme Court case United States v. Knott.
